There is always hype surrounding the Iphone.
iPhone 5 rumors are swirling about, as they have been since long before the release of the iPhone 4S. We do our best to keep track of all the iPhone 5 rumors, but Isaac Royo one-upped us and created this video that imagines what an Apple promotional video for the next iteration of the flagship phone might look like.
The video and phone concept are based off all the big rumors, including the notion of a bigger screen that we just heard about.
Watch the video below and you’ll see that 3.95-inch screen, a Thunderbolt port, 12-megapixel camera, retina display, 4G LTE, and so much more.
Total runtime of this little fantasy is only 75 seconds, so be prepared for a rude awakening at the end when you return to the rest of your day in a world where none of this actually exists yet.

I found this article today to be pretty good. Check it out below, most of these apps are so common now
A few weeks back I wrote a popular post about the best apps for job seekers that was very well received. I promised I’d share the top apps I use to make my life as an entrepreneur easier. It wasn’t easy, as I have over 100 apps on my iPad and Android (don’t judge me). It might seem like overkill, but it’s important as a small business owner to be able to do business anywhere, any time, with anyone. And to do that, I need the apps to be on both devices since I’m never without one or the other. You never want to miss an opportunity to turn a contact or chance meeting into a client.
Here are some of the apps I use to keep my business humming along.

Square- Let’s start with the obvious. I need to be able to take a payment anywhere, any time and the days of those bulky POS (the S stands for SALES…get your mind out the gutter) terminals. Square allow me to insert a little square dongle (hence the name) into my device and with the click of an app and swipe of a card, I can process credit card payments on the spot. It only costs me 2.75% per swipe and my money is transferred into my bank account within a day or two. There are no other fees and even the dongle is free. Easy breezy. And I just heard they came out with a device for cabbies that they’re testing in New York. Go Square!
Paypal- OK I know some folks don’t like Paypal, but honestly, I’ve been with them since the very beginning. They now have an app where I can just log in, send a payment request to someone and they get an email letting them know to make a payment. I use the standard service and I don’t pay any monthly fees. They charge you on a sliding scale 2.2 – 2.9% plus 30 cents each transaction. I can even create invoices. But what I like about Paypal is that I can process higher priced services like consulting fees and the like without a cap on transaction amounts. Plus some people just prefer to pay via Paypal.
Intuit Online Payroll- Yes! You can even process your payroll via an app. Intuit let’s you set up your account online (a tedious but well worth it process) and you download the app to your device. Then you can process payroll for your employees. The app is free but the service is $39 per month. Right now they are offering a 30 day free trial. They also offer the GoPayment service that is similar to Square. But if you have employees and you’re always on the go, Intuit Online Payroll keeps you current and professional.
And for honorable mentions, the banks and investment brokerages I use all have apps so I can access information about my money at all times. I also use Mint.com (there’s an app for that!) and XE Mobile Currency (which is a foreign currency converter). It comes in handy when you’re traveling abroad and need to do a quick on the spot currency conversion.
eFax Mobile- I have been using eFax since the beginning of time. I love being able to access my faxes (albeit rare) via email instead of relying on a bulky machine and phone line. eFax has an app where you can view all of your faxes from your devices. You can send, view and sign faxes with eFax Mobile.I can opt to store them in my eFax account or move them over to my Dropbox. The app is free, but the service carries a fee. If you get minimal faxes, then the Plus subscription would suit you. You get 150 faxed pages per month for $16.95 per month. The Pro subscription comes with 200 faxed pages and it’s $19.95 per month.
USPS Mobile- I hate standing in line at the post office. With this app, I’m able to determine postage and buy postage without having to endure those long lines. I can also schedule pickups, track packages and scan packages. I can say it’s been a life saver for me. The only thing it can’t do is check my P.O. Box. LOL
Qrafter- Speaking of scanning, I use this app to both read and create scannable QR codes. I simply use the camera on my device to capture the image and I’m all set. There is a basic and a Pro version. The Pro version costs $2.99.
Printback by Xerox Mobile- I don’t care what they say. There is some comfort in knowing that you’ll be able to print anywhere as long as you have that app. This app is free and supports most Microsoft Office and PDF documents. The best part is you’re not running around looking for a computer to stick your flash drive in or looking to connect or download software to connect to your laptop. You simply choose your document (usually from a Dropbox folder), determine the size you need, then let the app do the rest.
DocuSign- How many times have you had a deal delayed because you have to wait until you received the documents (or send them to a client) to sign and get started? DocuSign takes care of all of that. I keep a standard version of all my contracts and agreements in Dropbox (that name keeps coming up quite often, doesn’t it?) for easy access. Once the documents are updated and ready to execute, I log into DocuSign to get the required signatures…without having to use a printer. You can sign a Word, JPEG or PDF document. The only thing I don’t like is I have to use my finger. I’m waiting on a stylus type instrument to make it easier to sign.
QuickOffice Pro- This is a life saver! If ever I need to edit a word, excel or powerpoint document on the go, this app is my saving grace. Now, I did opt for the paid Pro version, which was $14.95, but because you can only view PDFs on it and not edit, I had to supplement it with another new find (which I’ll talk about next). You can create, edit and share all Microsoft documents with this app. And you don’t lose any formatting! I have not regretted buying the pro version.
OnLive Desktop (powered by Microsoft)- I like that this also allow you to edit and work on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. OnLive opens up to look just like your Windows desktop with the icons for each program on the ‘desktop’. You can open documents you’ve stored in the system in any of the programs to edit in real time just like you would on your PC. Don’t believe me? Check it out. It also allows you to store documents, so Dropbox may be repetitive. Both QuickOffice and OnLive Desktop can be synced with your Dropbox account.
Dropbox- OK, if you haven’t heard of Dropbox by now, where the heck have you been? I keep my important documents in Dropbox to use from any device at any time. I have a free account but you can opt for a paid account. My basic account has 2GB of storage. The more people you invite or refer to Dropbox, the more chances you have to earn additional storage space. You can instantly send a document right from your smart phone or tablet after an impromptu meeting and it gets delivered right to their inbox. It’s a must have for easy access and quick retrieval.
What is a CDN
A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a network of server localities that deliver your content in multiple locations. Normally, if someone visited your website, they’d pull all your locally hosted static files (images, js, css) off your server directly. Otherwise with a CDN setup, they would pull those static files from their closest CDN, so for example if you were in Texas, the files would be served from a locality in Texas or close to it. What this means is that the files would load quicker because they are served from that location. This means that the person surfing your website will view the page quicker.
The main advantage is an increase in the speed with which the content is delivered to the users. CDN users can therefore deliver high definition content with high Quality of Service, low costs and low network load. This can be images, video, streaming media and other types of dynamic media.
What is Amazon Cloudfront
Amazon Cloudfront is part of Amazon Web Services for content delivery. Cloudfront integrates with AWS to give developers and business an easy cost effective way to distribute content to users or web surfers with low latency, and high data transfer.
Some other benefits using a CDN:
- Distributed data centers – Most CDN’s provide localized data centers which are closer to the user in return making page load time faster.
- Boosts performance and saves money – The CDN helps disseminate the load, saves bandwidth, increase performance and can reduce your existing hosting cost–mainly if you have a high traffic website.
- Files may be pre-cached - If someone visiting your page has already visited a site using the same CDN, the file has already been cached by your browser and want have to be downloaded again.
Today is Thursday March 1, 2012. Thursday Technology review is what it’s called here @ JnairbDesign. After I could not maintain a stable connection to my son’s Nintendo Wii anymore or to the Playstation, I knew it was about time to upgrade my insisting Netgear router. After purchasing the Netgear N600 and having time to test and use this equipment, I am really glad that I did. Netflix is better because of the N600 and Youtube streaming doesn’t lag like before.
Now whether you in to technology or not; I am sure that you have wireless internet in your home and if so, you may need this, if you do. Do it right the first time. Plus, the setup and configuration is fairly easy. The Wireless Protected Setup (WPS)–invoked via a button on the front of the unit– worked great. The two range 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz works great while streaming multimedia and in my opinion is flawless. No skips or hiccups.
If you choose, you have access to \\readyshare file sharing which is on the ReadyShare network. For my audience this may be too much tech jargon for you and I will not go too deep into this but the WNDR3700 is an excellent product once configured, and I don’t think there’s no better performing small or home office-class Wi-Fi router available. Netgear’s 4-port gigabit, simultaneous dual-band WNDR3700 Wi-Fi router proved a satisfying experience.
While I am in the market for a camcorder, I am undecided what I will be able to afford. Right now, I am looking at the Canon Vixia HF M30. Speaking with the sales rep, he tells me this is one of the best buys for your dollar. As I am tinkering with this camera, It reads that it delivers a very good blend of video quality, features, and performance for the money. Although, I do think the touch-screen can be a bit more easier to use.
The Canon VIXIA HF M30 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder features an 8GB internal flash drive and an SD memory card slot. That will allow you to record up to 3 hours of clear high definition video to this 8GB flash drive. This feature may be hard to beat. Three hours of HD video is a lot of video, considering the quality of the video will be very crisp and clear. This is a big plus for me.
The video is of the highest quality and is said to record at outputs of 1920 X 1080, so you get Full HD from lens to screen. Not to mention the images are capture in HD also. So, this is another two for one deal. If you want to take a photo, then you have that option here. However, the camera is only shooting a 3.3 megapixels. The camera has a built-in video light that enhances your ability to shoot in low light situations.
Although, I could only test this in the store, I found the zoom to fairly decent. It also has a built in image stabilization that is better than your average camera.
So now I come home and begin to do some research over the internet and surprisingly enough, the camera has better than average reviews online. I have not made up my mind as to which camera I will get but this is one that I am leaning towards. I am not sure if I want to afford the $600 price tag. I mull if I would use this camera enough. But, it appears that the overall quality and performance of this camera is great for the price. I will continue to research and review before I make this purchase. If anyone has this camera, leave comments below on what you have experienced.

This week I got a chance to take a look at the Nikon D7000 which is considered the most advance camera from Nikon at any price. Depending what your goals are for photography, the price is a no-brainer, for what this machine does. I guess this is why it was sold out when initially introduced.
Now, I am by no means a professional photographer but recently I got a chance to hold the D7000. If you are into cameras or not, you will definitely love the way this thing feel. I put it like this, it will make you want to foray into photography. You can bet this is a paparazzi’s dream come true. A small business in and of itself; this is all you need for high resolution photos and HD video on the go. The pictures you will get with the D7000 will simply look better than anything that you will ever get from any other digital camera out today.
With the new CMOS sensor, and 16.2 megapixels on the chip; it uses the maximum image size of 4928×3264 pixels. All I can say is WOW! Not to mention the 1920X1080 high definition video specs for a maximum of 20 min recording on each shoot. This is your 2 for 1 bang here, for all those who like to see their money work for them. Did I mention the convenience of only caring one device for varies jobs? There is an interface for an optional GPS unit plus a wireless (and Internet connection) for data transfer.
The colors are great, shoots great under low lighting conditions. If you don’t know, now you know; we all know that professional photography can get expensive but the D7000 is considered to have more resolution than any other Nikon under $7500. I think that say enough alone. Bang for your buck!
If you’re in the market for a camera, stop by Bizrate for the best deals. Especially, if you have lenses already and just need to pick-up a body.

I have a lot of people unknowingly ask me “What can they do to speed-up their computer?” I want to ask them; do you leave your
socks on the floor, dishes in the sink? But not going behind yourself and cleaning up your computer is similar in the technology world. Both Windows and Macintosh PC’s have remnants equivalent to those daily things that need to be cleaned. Many individuals are always complaining that their computers are running slow or just plain not functioning properly. They don’t know why, let alone know that it is something that they can possibly fix themselves.
Bottom line; every so often, you have to clean house. Piriform just released new versions of CCleaner and Defraggler for free. It’s just like having someone come in and clean your house for free. Most of us will like that.
Running CCleaner first will clean up cached fragments, temporary files, tune up registry and uninstall unwanted files.
Next, run the Defraggler. This software will line up all your files, putting them in order so that programs will open quickly, run smoother while at the same time freeing up memory.
I bet some of you still have some of the newer utility software. Be careful in that some of these are just plain ole memory hogs. A lot that’s out there now are scams, tracking your moves in ways you are not even aware of. In some cases; making money off you while you work for them and don’t even know it.
CCleaner and Defraggler comes in your house, do only what they say they’re going to do, then get out of your way. They are not hanging around using up memory and slowing your computer down.
If you feel the need for a free cleaning go to: piriform.com and download the latest version of this merited software.
CCleaner is considered the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC. Keep your privacy safe online, and make your computer faster and more secure. With more than Over 800 million downloads! We know why!
With CCleaner you can clean your PCs. Protect your privacy and make your PCs faster and more secure. Advanced file recovery and system information tools. Centrally clean and protect business PCs. Extend PC lifecycle, improve PC ROI and protect privacy. Make PCs faster and more secure.
